Part 1: Variables
Why Do We Need Variables?
The Problem
Imagine you're writing a program for a game:
- You need to remember the player's name
- You need to track their score
- You need to update these values throughout the game
Without variables, you'd have to:
- Repeat the player's name everywhere in your code
- Update the score in multiple places
- If the player wants to change their name, you'd have to find and update every single occurrence
The Solution: Variables
